Can I really learn to dance?
Everyone can learn to dance. Thousands of people like you have been taught to dance in studios around the world. As with every skill, students learn and excel at different rates depending on their specific interest and commitment to learn.
Beginners can have fun dancing together even though their skills are not developed yet. Sharing the learning process and helping each other are great ways to bond more closely as friends or as a partnership.
How long will it take a beginner to learn?
It depends on the student. It only takes one lesson to learn some basic steps. Beyond that, it depends on your goals, how good a dancer you want to be, which dances you want to learn, and how often you take lessons.
Once you know the basic moves for a particular dance, you will then learn how to put them together in combinations.
In addition, if you are serious about progressing in your skills, you will want to practice at home in between your dance lessons.
How do I get started?
It is best to call and make an appointment to meet with an insructor and schedule a free lesson, or you may stop by any time.
Most beginning students choose to try a combination of private and group lessons. Special packages provide discounted rates along with the opportunity to attend studio "practice parties" where you can learn by watching and dancing with other students.
Does tuition have to be paid in advance?
There are several methods of payment available. You can pay in advance or we can create a payment plan for you. Let us know your specific needs, and we will gladly work to meet those needs.
How much do group lessons cost?
Group lessons are priced based on the number of group lessons you sign up for. You can sign up for 1, 5, 10, 15, or 25 group lessons. In addition, if you sign up for a package that includes private, group and practice party lessons, your rates will be further discounted.
How much do private lessons cost?
Private lessons are priced based on the number of private lessons you sign up for. You can sign up for 1, 5, 10, 15, or 25 private lessons. In addition, if you sign up for a package that includes private, group and practice party lessons, your rates will be further discounted.

TEACHING METHODOLOGY
We offer a variety of teaching methods to ensure you reach your dance goal.
Private Lessons:
a one-on-one lesson with an instructor who will give you individual attention and adjust their teaching time base on your specific needs. Instructors focus primarily on technique, style, musicality, and repetition to help you meet your dance goals. A record of what you are learning will be kept to keep track of your progress.
Group Lessons:
a great way to learn a new dance steps in a social setting, develop your leading and following habits as you dance with a variety of partners, or practice what you’ve learned in your private lessons. Some group lessons are offered on a drop-in-basis while other group lessons are offered as a series.
Practice Parties:
an opportunity to practice all your new moves in a comfortable and relaxed social setting. You will have fun with your fellow students and our instructors.
Event Venues:
students are encouraged to go out in the real world and dance in front of strangers. Occasionally we will organize an evening off event in our studio or in facility outside our studio. This is another way of showing off what you have learned in the class – have fun and dance!
Recital/Showcase/Exhibition:
a public performance with your teacher. We will gather a group of students who each perform a professionally choreogphed routine to a specific song. The showcase theme and music genre changes each year, but it always provides a great opportunity to see students at their best.
Competition:
this activity is for those students who have a competitive edge. Students and their instructors compete against other dance couples in a specific dance level and/or age category. Competitions are held locally and throughout the country.
